Backyard Growers is a grassroots organization helping to reshape Gloucester's relationship with food. We provide support and resources to establish vegetable gardens at homes, housing communities, organizations, and schools. In the end, we create life-long gardeners inspired by the power of growing one's own food.

You won’t find any marble columns or spacious gardens on this tour! This is your chance to see how regular Gloucester folks are squeezing vegetable gardens into small spaces to grow some of their own food. You will visit backyard, community & school gardens plus a few special guest gardens where you can learn about chickens and bees!
