The Gloucester Grow Fest is a fun, inclusive, FREE community event hosted by Backyard Growers at Burnham’s Field in downtown Gloucester. The Grow Fest features hands-on, family-friendly activities to raise awareness about healthy eating, green living, and personal wellness, while celebrating the arrival of warm weather and the beginning of the growing season on Cape Ann.

Backyard Growers' 10th growing season is off to a great start - in spite of the weather! For our BUILD Day 2019, we're making a final push to build new garden beds for families and seniors around Cape Ann so that they can enjoy their own fresh veggies this summer and into the fall. But we can't do it without you! WE NEED YOUR HELP to build these garden beds.

Interested in joining the party? Meet us at Backyard Growers HQ (271 Main Street) in downtown Gloucester at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, ready to get your hands dirty, make a difference, and have an awesome time! Rumor has it that it's going to be SUNNY🌞, too!

Join us for our free, annual seed giveaway, where you can join our awesome community of Cape Ann gardeners to pick up free seeds to get started this season, or swap seeds from your collection with others. We're SWIMMING in seeds, many of which have been generously donated. This is a great opportunity for beginner gardeners to get started with seeds, with guidance from experts. You DON'T have to bring your own seeds - just bring yourself!

ALL are welcome. This event is free to the public.

In this hands-on, interactive class, we will harvest straight from the garden, then come together to cook and enjoy several different recipes! All levels of cooking experience are welcome.
