Backyard Growers rock-star volunteer Suzanne Gosselin put on a fantastic, informative talk about indoor seed starting at the Sawyer Free Library on Tuesday, February 2nd. We had a great turnout from the community, and everyone learned about important considerations for starting seeds indoors, as well as the costs of a set up and what to buy. The biggest take-away? DON'T try to grow seedling on your windowsill - you will be sad.
If you weren't able to make it to the talk, you can download the materials at the bottom of our Resources page. There will also be a shortened version of the talk given at the Manchester Public Library by Backyard Growers staff on Wednesday, March 2nd. at 5:30.
The follow-up companion workshop in the series will be held on Sunday, April 3rd. Learn more and sign up here. The cost is $10 for materials. You MUST already have an indoor seed starting setup, or plan to buy very soon after the workshop. You can purchase seeds at the workshop. Soil and trays for planting 2 flats of seedlings is included with your materials fee.
