As we launch into Session 2 of the program, our students are transitioning from farm work to activism around food and sustainability issues. We finished up Session 1 with a farm-to-table style dinner that used radishes grown in a late fall harvest.
The Environmental Club also coordinated the effort to make it a zero-waste event, helping attendees sort compost and recyclables. It was the first step in our plan to roll out comprehensive composting school-wide.
In early December, the club made a presentation to the high school Leadership Committee, and we will be rolling out the program starting in January. You can access the presentation below!
